The Salt Lake, Utah Radio Communications Team Has been supporting the Moab240 Endurance Run sent 2016.
The Tucson, Arizona Ham Radio Communications Team recently completed support for the Arizona Monster 300, a 300-mile point-to-point ultra run that pushed both runners and communicators to the limit.
The course began in Superior, AZ, wound its way south over Mount Lemmon, passed through Tucson, and continued deep into the rugged terrain before finishing in Patagonia, AZ. Over the course of seven days and 170 hours, Ham operators provided critical communications coverage across 19 remote aid stations, supporting runner safety, aid station logistics, and medical response efforts.
We’re especially grateful for the use of regional repeater systems that helped make long-range communication possible throughout the event.
A huge congratulations to the Tucson, Arizona Ham Radio communications team.
